Join over 250 citizens, activists and experts at one of the premier grassroots events in Southern New England! Environmental Action 2010 is a day for residents across New England to come network, strategize about the hottest environmental issues, and be inspired.
The conference offers over 20 workshops on climate change, toxics, conservation and smart growth . Sessions include “Tackling Big Corporations,” “Harnessing Social Media for Change,” “Keeping Toxics Out of the Home,” and “Protecting Our State Parks.” You ’ll also have the opportunity to network throughout the day with other activists and decision-makers from across New England . Keynote Speaker Judy Bonds, Co-Director of Coal River Mountain Watch and the nation’s leading anti-mountaintop removal activist, will share her story and offer inspiration and advice to all attendees. All in all, Environmental Action 2010 is a day to recognize our many victories over the year and be inspired to go back to our communities and continue the fight to protect the health and safety of our families and the quality of our environment.
